The testimony of two women who haven't been in it yet

A chamber play for two actresses thematizes fears of pregnancy and coming to terms with emerging sexuality. The feelings and states of the two main female characters without a name in that strange period between puberty and the onset of adulthood. A period full of confusion, finding ways, misunderstanding, (self) destruction, asking questions and redefining the world, because the optics of the children's world are no longer valid and the optics of the adult world are not yet valid. Thoughtful play with words evoking unexpected connections is able to symptomatically capture difficult-to-express feelings even in a small space, at the same time in a playful way with a significant amount of humor, which lightens otherwise difficult topics into non-sentimental and non-pathetic tones.

The text won 2nd place in the 2019 Evald Schorm Prize competition.
